ZERO™ P2 Surgical Respirator Ear Loops
The ZERO P2 Surgical Respirator is a TGA registered P2 respirator with Level 3 fluid resistance, designed to deliver certified filtration, reliable fit and all-day comfort.
Engineered for seal performance, it features a structured tri-panel design, soft nose foam and an adjustable aluminium nose wire for a secure, adaptable fit. Outstanding PortaCount fit testing results demonstrate reliable real-world performance, while breathable, lightweight materials support extended wear.
Made with biodegradable nonwoven elements that support accelerated biodegradation in landfill conditions, ZERO is designed to help reduce the waste associated with disposable PPE.

- Certified P2 under AS/NZS 1716:2012
- Certified Level 3 Fluid Resistance, tested to ASTM F1862/F1862M-17 and ISO 22609
- Bacterial Filtration Efficiency: >99.9%, tested to ASTM F2101-14
- BSI Certification ID: BMP 798778
- ARTG Number: Pending
The ZERO filter is biodegradable and breaks down into non-toxic microplastic-free byproducts, reducing the waste associated with discarded PPE.
Biodegradation testing on our nonwoven technology was completed according to ASTM D5511 the Standard Test Method for Determining Anaerobic Biodegradation of Plastic Materials Under High-Solids Anaerobic-Digestion Conditions. Testing is ongoing, and we will regularly publish updates with new biodegradation results as they become available.
Biodegradation rates of the ZERO Surgical Respirator nonwoven material elements are measured according to the ASTM D5511-18 standard. Biodegradation testing has been conducted on nonwoven material elements and excludes earloops, nose bridge, nose foam and structural layer. The biodegradation rates may change based on the landfill conditions present.

Real-World Comfort
Designed for All-Day Comfort
Proprietary nose foam and a trifold shape reduce pressure points while maintaining a stable fit. Designed with feedback from clinicians at HealthShare NSW for extended wear in real environments.
Nano-Fibre Technology
Filters Over 99% of the Hardest Particles to Capture
Independently certified to P2 standards and tested at PM0.3, the most penetrating particle size. A nano fibre filtration matrix enhances particle capture while maintaining airflow, delivering filtration performance exceeding 99 percent where it matters most.

Quantitative Fit
PortaCount Fit Tested for a Reliable Seal
Verified using PortaCount quantitative fit testing, achieving a mean fit factor of 250+ across a broad user group. Designed to deliver a consistent, real-world seal, not just lab performance.
AirLock Seal™
Engineered for a Consistent, Reliable Seal
A firm nose wire paired with proprietary memory foam creates a stable, adaptive fit. Reduces leakage and improves consistency across different face shapes.
Meaningful Reduction In Landfill Waste
Biodegrades in Landfill Conditions
Designed to work within existing landfill waste streams, approximately 74–90% of the product mass is biodegradable under landfill conditions, depending on the model. Biodegradable components achieved approximately 53% biodegradation in around 700 days under simulated landfill conditions.
Biodegradation StudyStructural Design
Trifold Construction That Moves With You
The 3 panel design adapts to facial movement while maintaining structure and seal. Built to perform consistently throughout wear.
Improved Fit Architecture
Refined for a Wider Range of Face Shapes and Nose Profiles
Refined through real-world fit feedback to improve comfort, adaptability, and seal consistency across a broader range of facial structures.

Clinically Informed Design
Shaped by HealthShare NSW Clinician Feedback
Developed through multiple rounds of clinician feedback within HealthShare NSW environments, focusing on real-world comfort and fit preferences. Designed to perform consistently across extended wear in demanding settings.
FAQS
Find answers to commonly asked questions.
What is the difference between P2 respirators and N95 respirators?
P2 respirator masks and N95 respirator masks are very similar in terms of performance and protection, but they differ slightly in terms of standards and certification:
- P2 respirators: Certified under the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 1716. They are designed to filter out at least 94% of airborne particles down to 0.3 microns in size. FILTRUM P2 face respirators exceed this standard, offering a filtration efficiency of more than 95%, providing the same level of protection as an N95 respirator.
- N95 respirators: Certified under the US NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) standard. They must filter at least 95% of airborne particles of the same size.
Are the FILTRUM P2 respirators lab tested and approved with the TGA?
Yes, all FILTRUM P2 Respirators have undergone independent laboratory testing by VicLab in Victoria, Australia.
How do I dispose of my FILTRUM Respirator?
Dispose of your FILTRUM respirator in your regular waste bin and all paper based packaging in the recycling. The biodegradable ZERO filter breaks down into non-toxic byproducts and is designed to be microplastic-free, reducing PPE waste. Our nonwoven technology's biodegradation is tested according to ASTM D5511 standards.
Does facial hair affect how well my respirator fits?
Yes, it can. Hair on your face, especially along your jawline and cheeks can prevent the respirator from sealing tightly against your skin. This can create gaps that allow unfiltered air to leak in, reducing the respirator's effectiveness.
What can I do if I have facial hair?
For the best protection, we recommend trimming or shaving any facial hair that comes between your skin and the respirator's edges. Always perform a seal check each time you put on your respirator. If you feel air leaking, it's not fitting correctly. Our FILTRUM P2 Respirators are designed with features like a moldable nose bridge and highly-elastic ear loops, which may help achieve a better fit even with some facial hair.
