ZERO is designed to reduce the long-term waste burden of disposable PPE through biodegradable nonwoven material elements engineered for accelerated breakdown in landfill-like conditions.
In ongoing testing, FILTRUM ZERO biodegradable nonwoven elements achieved 79.14% biodegradation after 1045 days.
Biodegradation testing has been conducted according to ASTM D5511, a standard test method used to assess anaerobic biodegradation under high-solids, oxygen-limited conditions. Testing applies to the biodegradable nonwoven material elements only, with actual biodegradation rates varying based on landfill conditions, product configuration, and disposal environment.

Meaningful Reduction In Landfill Waste
Biodegrades in Landfill Conditions
Designed to work within existing landfill waste streams, approximately 74–90% of the product mass is biodegradable under landfill conditions, depending on the model. Biodegradable components achieved approximately 53% biodegradation in around 700 days under simulated landfill conditions.
Adaptive Structure
Pleated Construction That Moves With You
The pleated structure expands and contracts naturally with facial movement while maintaining comfort, shape, and consistent everyday wearability.
Improved Fit Architecture
Ulra-Soft Ear Loops Made For Extended Wear
Designed to reduce pressure and irritation during prolonged wear through soft-touch elastic materials and balanced tension distribution.

Clinically Informed Design
Refined Through Years of Real Clinician Feedback
Developed through multiple rounds of clinician feedback within HealthShare NSW environments, focusing on real-world comfort and fit preferences. Designed to perform consistently across extended wear in demanding settings.
